There is one Gospel on which I stand

Several aspects of this song really stood out to me. The first is, there is only One Gospel. We sometimes need to reminded there is only one pathway to peace with God and that is through Jesus Christ.

The second is the concept of story -

"it is my story, my Father's plan."

Our lives are stories and it is God's plan to enter into our life story so we can become part of his story and his plan.

Finally, this verse really got my attention.

"Now on my Saviour, I fix my eyes
My life is His and His hope is mine!
For He has promised I, too, will rise
I stand in the Gospel of Jesus Christ"

It was quite moving to hear young people sing words like these. Notice again the second line of the verse immediately above:

My life is His and His hope is mine!

Among all the hopes that Jesus has for us I am sure one of them is that we all become disciple-makers. After all, if we do not reach every generation and equip that generation to reach and equip the next; those who follow us will not be able to sing with confidence:

My life is His and His hope is mine!

I hope you are encouraged by these weekly reports of God at work. I hope you take time each work to spend time praising God for the things I include in the praise section. It is evident you are praying because it seems like every week we can move a few items from the Prayer to the Praise section.

You are a great encouragement to me. Thank you for your support.
