Behold, I am doing a new thing…Isaiah 43:19

I believe we are accelerating very quickly to the end of the age and the return of the Lord. Evil is increasing everywhere and the persecution of believers is growing. China is prohibiting religious instruction to children, North Korea does not permit anyone to be a Christian. Nigerian Christians were massacred over the Christmas holiday. And the list goes on and on.

On the other hand we are seeing dramatic conversions to Christ. Several celebrities have recently gone public with their hope in Jesus Christ. I love to hear these stories but there is a bigger movement going on that is never reported. Telegu speaking people from India are turning to Christ in astonishing numbers. Twenty years ago there were very few believers among this people group. Now, one Telegu church in India has 300,000 members. Late last year we reported that 89 prisoners were baptized in one prison in Kenya. F4L directors are seeing fruit wherever they establish discipleship groups. And the list goes on and on.

Sometimes it is good to be reminded of who is really in charge. God is always doing new things. Jesus told us to go and make disciples with the assurance that He would be with us until the very end of the age. He also made this declaration:

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."

Matthew 24:14

As this new year launches I am filled with excitement and enthusiasm to be part of what God is doing to transform lives around the globe. Let's rejoice that He has called us and allowed us to be part of this great disciple-making movement known as Foundations 4 Living. We will face challenges and hardships in 2024 but the victory is assured.

Thank you for being part of this amazing team of intercessors. You are going to see some amazing new things as you pray in 2024.
